Hi, I'm Caroline (she/her) and I would be thrilled to be your postpartum doula!
I am a DONA certified doula offering postpartum care to families of all kinds in the Sacramento region. I am a firm believer in the power of community, the value of connection, and that we are not meant to do this life alone.
In a few words, I would describe my approach as client-centered, customizable, and empowering. No two families - or even days! - are exactly alike, so my aim is always to understand your needs, opinions, and goals. Together, we will take each visit as it comes.
Whether you need a shoulder to cry on, your doom piles to be taken care of, or a reminder to eat and hydrate, I will be there by your side.
MY STORY
As you can see, I have always been a baby person and a natural caregiver.
After over 10 years in the corporate and nonprofit world, I found myself looking for a change. Around that time, I learned what a doula was and it was like a lightbulb went off. Suddenly I knew what I wanted to do and set forth to combine some of my lifelong passions into an incredibly fulfilling career. I completed my training through DONA International, the leader in evidence-based doula education, in July 2024 and have since supported a number of families as they welcomed home their newborns.
When I'm not snuggling babies or caring for families, you can find me at the climbing gym, enjoying the outdoors, doing puzzles with my wife, or playing with our three cats.
